Ishmail Kamara, Head of Operations
Ishmail is a Social Worker and development practitioner who has worked within the Public and Private Sectors in the areas of Child Protection, Administration, Human Rights and Security, community development, Community Needs Assessment, Research, SGBV, Advocacy, Evaluation and reporting, results-based management for more than five years.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Fourah Bay College, University Of Sierra Leone. In 2014-2015 he served as a Social Worker volunteer at We Yone Child Foundation partially responsible for conducting research and implementing the UKAM Girls Peak Educational Project, supported by UK Aid and Street Child of Sierra Leone.
He was also the Project Officer at Bright Light Projects in Western Rural Area. He has a wide range of experiences working with stakeholders at various levels and building relationships with donor partners. He implemented post-Ebola recovery programs in affected communities such as the Mend the Gap Schooling Program (MDG) for vulnerable Ebola orphans and Survivors and Girls Shall Rise Program, which provide skills Training, Advocacy for Survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) specifically violence against women and children, Commercial Sex workers, and women living with HIV AIDS. Ishmail joins the team as a graduate of the Grow Salone Professional Development course.
Abubakarr Sannoh, Social Worker
Abubakarr was born in Kenema, Eastern Sierra Leone. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology from Njala University with a professional skills certificate from Grow Salone. He has experience in child psychology and has worked as a Peer Educator volunteer with Restless Development Sierra Leone and recently worked with the West African Rice Company(WARC).
He is the founder of the Children and Women Advocacy Network (ChiWAN-SL) through which he was able to advocate for the Rights and treatment of women and children, especially the unprivileged in Bo and Kenema.
Josephus Bachalle-Taylor, Accountant
Josephus is an experienced accountant with demonstrable ability of working in the private sector and proven track record of delivering financial management support for improving efficiency and effectiveness of operations. He is a strong finance professional skilled in auditing, accounting and reporting, and analytical reviews; equipped with ACCA part qualification and a BSc. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sierra Leone.
He has lead and managed teams of Internal Auditors for 8 years in the banking sector in Sierra Leone and also managed an accounting function for another 4 years where he succeeded in preparing Accounts for 3 successive financial years that were Audited and resulted in ‘a True and View’ opinion by reputable external Auditors.
Josephus is also a passionate humanitarian that loves seeing less fortunate young people thrive in life.
Asiatu Jalloh, Deputy of Operations
Asiatu Jalloh is a graduate of the Grow Salone Professional Development training program. She is currently an awaiting Bahelors graduate at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Information Technology.
